The Nominating Committee is Seeking Candidates for the Labor CU’s Board of Directors

Board of Directors Election
If you are interested in being considered for Labor Credit Union’s Board of Directors, this year’s election process is underway. There are multiple opportunities to serve, and we are seeking candidates for the following seats on our Board of Directors:
- One (1) seat to fill a one (1) year term, expiring in 2025.
- One (1) seat to fill a two (2) year term, expiring in 2026.
- Three (3) seats to serve a three (3) year term, expiring in 2027.
The position requirements and process for submitting your letter of interest are outlined below. In accordance with our Bylaws, the Board of Directors has appointed a Nominating Committee that will put forth the names of eligible candidates on the election ballot to fill these vacancies.
Role Requirements (not all inclusive):
- Current Labor CU member in good standing as defined by Labor CU Bylaws
- Be a member of a credit union for at least two (2) years.
- Willingness to comply with all appropriate Board Policies, Regulations, and knowledge requirements.
- Minimum Age: 21 years of age or over.
- Attend monthly meetings 2-3x per month as scheduled or needed.
- Additional time for projects, policy reviews, and training. Total time investment can range from 10-20 hours per month.
Application Process:
- Express interest by 3:00pm (eastern standard time) on February 5, 2024, via the Election Form below.
- Note: Interest submission doesn’t guarantee nomination.
Alternative Nomination Method:
- Submit a petition signed by 1% of the membership, with a minimum of 82 and maximum of 500 member signatures by April 4th, 2024, to [email protected].
Election Details:
- No open election if only one candidate per seat is identified by the Nominating Committee.
- There will be no nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting.
- Results of election will be announced at the Annual Meeting on May 20, 2024.
